Meet the Instructors

Micah Lor-Rolph (they/them) is a SLO-raised and Oakland-based educator and childcare professional with a deep love of trees, wading birds, and nourishing the creative genius in every child. In 2020-21 they designed and ran a summer program for LGBTQ+ youth at the Gala Pride and Diversity Center in SLO. They have spent the past 4 years at the Walden Center & School in Berkeley (a leader in integrated arts-academics K-6 education) working in the after-school program, summer camp, and classrooms. They're excited to partner with their mom--their first and favorite art teacher--to bring you this unique program.

Chenda Lor (she/her) is a lifelong multimedia artist, surfer, and certified Art Coach who has years of experience teaching art to children and adults in ways that creatively engage nature and the senses. Explore the rest of the website to learn more about her work and her studio & gallery space. She is excited to open her studio to young artists!
